Gulf Pacific
In September 2022, Eos invested in Gulf Pacific, a value-added packager and processor of high-quality specialty foods and ingredients including healthy and organic rice varieties, rice-flour ingredients, ancient grains, heirloom beans and spice blends. As a part of the transaction Southwest Spices was acquired and integrated into the Gulf Pacific business.
MetaSource
In May 2022, Eos invested in MetaSource, a provider of technology-enabled business process outsourcing and digital transformation solutions to a variety of end-markets including financial services, government, healthcare, retail and transportation.
Consolidated Analytics
In February 2019, Eos invested in Consolidated Analytics (“CA”), a provider of outsourced services to the residential mortgage industry, including valuation, consulting, due diligence and default services. Eos’ investment supported the CA’s acquisition of Carrington Property Services, a provider of REO asset management, rental management and valuation services.
Legacy
In 2018, Eos invested in Legacy Supply Chain Services, a leading national third-party logistics company specializing in contract logistics, value-added warehousing and distribution, freight brokerage, and transportation solutions.
South Mill Champs
In early 2017, Eos invested in South Mill Mushrooms Sales and Kaolin Mushroom Farms (collectively “South Mill”). Based in Kennett Square, PA, South Mill is a producer and distributor of fresh mushrooms and operates one of the largest indoor facilities in the US. In late 2017, South Mill merged with Champ’s Mushrooms, a mushroom provider and distributor located outside Vancouver, Canada. The combination of South Mill and Champs established the number 3 producer and distributor of mushrooms in the US and Canada.
ProEnergy Services
In 2012, Eos and an investment partner invested capital in ProEnergy Services, a service provider to the global gas turbine power generation market. During Eos’ ownership, ProEnergy refined its service offerings to prioritize support for grid reliability amid the increasing presence of renewable power generation. Additionally, the company developed and constructed a portfolio of more than 2 GW of power generation capacity. In 2024, Eos sold its position to a private equity sponsor.
ShelterPoint Life
ShelterPoint Life (formerly First Rehab Life) is a leader in the short term disability market and a provider of ancillary employee benefits through a network of over 6,000 agents and brokers, insuring more than 150,000 businesses and 1.4 million lives with licenses in 48 states and territories. The company was sold to Protective Life in 2024.
PetIQ
In 2012, Eos invested in PetIQ, a leading distributor and supplier of branded and generic pet pharmaceuticals and over-the-counter (OTC) products to national retailers. PetIQ completed its initial offering in 2017, under the ticker NASDQ:PETQ.
RCG Global Services
In 2013, Eos invested in RCG Global Services, a global digital transformation consultancy providing product engineering, advanced analytics, and cloud services to Fortune 1000 enterprises. RCG was sold to a private equity sponsor in 2021.
RMS
In 2013, Eos invested in Residential Mortgage Services, Inc. (“RMS”), a leading independent retail mortgage bank focused on the Northeastern U.S. market. Based in South Portland, ME, RMS originated conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage loans through its network of over 70 branch offices located throughout the New England and Mid-Atlantic markets. The company focused on “purchase” transactions, sourcing a substantial portion of its loans through referral relationships with real estate brokers and agencies. The company was sold to Guild Mortgage (NYSE: GHLD) in 2021.
BeavEx
In 2011, Eos invested in BeavEx, an integrated logistics company specializing in same-day scheduled and nonscheduled transportation of time-critical information and packages. Eos exited its investment in 2019.
Arbonne
In 2009, Eos invested in Arbonne, a personal care products company that sells skin care, cosmetics, and other health and beauty products through a direct selling channel. In 2018, Arbonne was sold to a strategic acquiror.
Country Fresh
In 2011, Eos invested in Country Fresh, a leading processor and distributor of produce and organic products to grocery stores, convenience stores and food-service distributors across the country. In 2017, Country Fresh was sold to a private equity sponsor.
Leaf Commercial Capital
In 2011, Eos invested in Leaf Commercial Capital, Inc., one of the largest independent equipment leasing companies in the U.S. Leaf serves equipment vendors in the small-to-mid-ticket equipment finance marketplace, specializing in information technology, telecommunications, office-automation, light industrial, healthcare, and other “business-essential” assets. The company was sold to People’s United Bank in July 2017.
MC2
In 1999, Eos participated in the purchase and merger of two companies that assist corporations in designing and building exhibits and presentations at trade shows and other corporate events. The company was sold to a strategic buyer in 2017.
KeyImpact Sales and Systems
In 2012, Eos invested in KeyImpact Sales & Systems, Inc. a leading independent food service sales and marketing agency, providing brokerage and outsourced sales services to manufacturers of food and related products. The company was sold to a private equity sponsor in 2015.
Summit Business Media
In 2011, Eos invested in Summit Business Media, a B2B media company offering comprehensive communication and information services to several industries, including insurance, benefits, investment advisory, tax, treasury, legal and mining. Summit was sold to a strategic acquiror in 2015.
Select Staffing
In 2009, Eos invested in Select Staffing, a staffing company focused on the light industrial, manufacturing, distribution and clerical markets. Eos’ debt investment was sold to a financial investor in 2011.
Greenstar Services Corporation
In 2007, Eos invested in WDF Services Corporation, an infrastructure focused mechanical and specialty construction services provider. In 2008, Eos invested in the merger of WDF Services with Five Star Electric to create Greenstar Service Corporation. Greenstar was a construction services provider specializing in large-scale complex mechanical, electrical and specialty construction projects. The company was sold to a strategic acquirer in 2011.
CCS Medical
In 2009, Eos invested in CCS Medical, the second largest in-home mail-order distributor of diabetic / chronic care products and supplies. The company offers its clients a comprehensive, single source solution for medical supplies, prescriptions and management services. Eos’ debt investment was sold to a financial investor in 2010.
Penton Media
In 2009, Eos invested in Penton Media, Inc., a B2B marketing services company offering comprehensive communication and information services across multiple products and services, including publishing, events and data products. Eos’ debt investment was sold to a financial investor in 2010.
Roadrunner Dawes
In 2005, Eos invested in Milwaukee based Roadrunner Dawes, Inc. (NYSE: RRTS). The company is a leading non-asset based logistics company providing transportation brokerage and expedited, long haul less-than-truckload (LTL) services in major freight lanes throughout the Continental U.S. and Canada with lengths of haul generally greater than 1,000 miles. Roadrunner Dawes competed its initial public offering in 2010.
Addus
Addus Healthcare (NASDQ:ADUS) is one of the nation’s largest providers of in-home social and personalcare services. Addus completed its initial public offering in 2009.
VeraSun Energy
In 2005, Eos made an equity investment in VeraSun Energy Corporation, which, at that time, was the second largest producer of ethanol (based on annual capacity) in the U.S. VeraSun completed its initial public offering in 2006.
Symtx
In 2001, Eos invested in Symtx, an Austin-based company which provided custom test engineering services for a variety of aerospace, defense, medical, and telecommunications firms. In 2006, Eos sold its investment in Symtx to a strategic buyer.
Clean Earth
In 2002, Eos invested in Clean Earth Holdings, Inc., a leading provider of solutions for the treatment and disposal of environmentally impacted sites and waste throughout the Northeast. The company offered fully integrated capabilities through its network of fixed-base facilities and broad range of technologies and intermodal capabilities. In 2005, Clean Earth was sold to a private equity sponsor.
DDS Partners
In 1997, Eos was the lead investor in DDS Partners, LLC, a roll-up of New York dental practices. The transaction brought together leading dental practices to create the first dental physician practice management company focused on the New York City metropolitan marketplace. Eos exited its investment in DDS in 2005.
New Breed Logistics
In 2001, Eos invested in New Breed Logistics, a leading non-asset-based logistics business, to provide liquidity to several non-active shareholders and strengthen the company’s balance sheet. Using its proprietary technology and nationwide platform, the company provided warehouse logistics services that utilized real-time data, which enabled its customers to reduce inventory and other costs throughout their supply chain. New Breed was sold to a private equity sponsor in 2005.
Associated Building Services
In 1999, Eos invested in Associated Building Services (“ABS”), a leading building services company that specializes in servicing owner-occupied headquarters buildings. In 2004, ABS was sold to GCA.
DTS
In 1997, Eos led a financing for Digital Theater Systems, Inc. (“DTS”), a developer and marketer of digital audio technology. Originally financed by Steven Spielberg and Universal Studios, DTS is a leading provider of digital sound in the theatrical and home entertainment marketplaces. DTS completed its initial public offering in 2003.
Providence Service Corporation
In 1997, Eos was invested in Providence Service Corporation (NASDQ: PRSC), a provider of social and human services on behalf of governments. Providence completed an initial public offering in 2003.
Pacer
In 1997, Eos sponsored a management-led buyout of a logistics/transportation business from Union Pacific Corp. The company was sold to a private equity sponsor in 1999.
